1. Introduction
This Refund & Cancellation Policy outlines how QuantIQ (āweā, āourā, āusā) handles cancellations, refunds, deposits, and changes to service agreements. By engaging our services, you agree to the terms described in this policy.
2. Nature of Our Services
QuantIQ provides professional quantity surveying, estimating, cost planning, contract administration, and related consultancy services. These services involve time, expertise, research, and analysis. As such, many of our services are nonārefundable once work has commenced.
3. Deposits and Upfront Payments
Some services may require a deposit or upfront payment before work begins. Deposits:
- Secure your booking or project slot
- Cover initial research, setup, and administrative time
- Are generally nonārefundable once work has started
4. Cancellations by the Client
If you wish to cancel a service, the following applies:
4.1 Before Work Has Begun
If no work has commenced, you may cancel without additional charges. Deposits may be refunded at our discretion, depending on scheduling, preparation, and administrative time already invested.
4.2 After Work Has Begun
Once work has started, refunds are generally not available. You will be invoiced for:
- Time spent to date
- Any completed deliverables
- Research, analysis, or documentation already undertaken
- Any thirdāparty costs incurred on your behalf
4.3 After Work Has Been Completed
Completed services are nonārefundable. This includes estimates, reports, cost plans, schedules, and any other deliverables.
5. Cancellations by QuantIQ
We reserve the right to cancel or decline a project if:
- Information provided is inaccurate or incomplete
- The project scope changes significantly
- There is a conflict of interest
- There are safety, legal, or ethical concerns
- Payment terms are not met
If we cancel a project before work begins, any deposit paid will be refunded in full. If work has already begun, you will only be charged for work completed to date.
6. Changes to Scope or Requirements
If the scope of work changes after commencement, additional fees may apply. This includes:
- Revisions to drawings or documentation
- Additional site visits
- New information requiring reācalculation
- Clientārequested changes to deliverables
We will notify you of any additional costs before proceeding.
7. NonāRefundable Services
The following services are strictly nonārefundable once started:
- Cost estimates and takeāoffs
- Feasibility studies
- Cost plans and budgets
- Progress claim assessments
- Contract administration work
- Any service involving analysis or professional judgement
8. Digital Deliverables
All digital deliverables (PDFs, spreadsheets, reports, schedules, etc.) are nonārefundable once delivered, regardless of whether they are downloaded or opened.
9. Missed Appointments or Site Visits
If a scheduled meeting or site visit is missed or cancelled with less than 24 hoursā notice, a callāout or cancellation fee may apply.
10. Refund Processing
If a refund is approved, it will be processed using the same payment method originally used, unless otherwise agreed. Refunds may take 5ā10 business days to appear depending on your bank.
11. Disputes
If you believe a charge or invoice is incorrect, please contact us as soon as possible via our Contact Page. We will review the matter promptly and work with you to resolve any concerns.
